Meet Jana williams, esq.
I am an attorney, an advocate, and above all, someone who understands that behind every legal case is a real person with a family, a reputation and a future at stake.
Before entering private practice, I worked as a prosecutor where I spent most of my time in the courtroom handling criminal matters, seeing first hand how the criminal justice system works from the side of the “People”. That experience has taught me how prosecutors evaluate cases, where weaknesses exist and how important preparation and advocacy often determine the outcome of a case.
My decision to become a private attorney wasn't’t only based on my courtroom experiences. This decision was predicated on my devotion to ensuring that my clients feel seen, heard, and respected.
I take the time to listen to my clients, understand their circumstances, educate and inform them of their options, and build legal strategies to adequately represent those I serve. I also believe that being an exceptional attorney means being honest with my clients. I will always ensure complete transparency and honesty with those I represent.
My Approach
I believe that good representation starts with listening. Every person that walks into my office has a different story, different circumstances and different things at stake. My first priority is to understand you, your situation and what matters most to you. From there I will research your case, take the tie to explain your options, answer your questions, and make sure you understand what to expect during the different stages of your case.
Case review
After our initial consultation and first meetings, I will begin to gather the evidence against you. I will reach out to all of the entities that are handling the matter and review their “discovery.” I will go through that discovery to identify the weaknesses, inconsistencies, and mistakes made during the course of their investigations.
Appearances
Our attorneys will attend your court appearances. We will work to resolve your case during the course of the appearances. If the case can not be resolved through a plea, or dismissal, we will plan for and proceed to trial. We will work to defend you every step of the way.
